External Monitor Replacement?

So my laptop's monitor has been fused for a while now. I have been using an external monitor hooked to my laptop's VGA port and it works. However, I have been wanting to know if there is a way to show the BIOS/Boot into my external monitor. I have disabled my laptop's monitor, but that has not done any changes. The only way for me to enter into Windows is by turning my laptop on, wait a couple of seconds, and then hit the Enter Key, since I am dual-booting Win7 and Ubuntu. After waiting for a couple more seconds, the log-in screen is shown in my external monitor and I can use it from then on. So, is there any way for my laptop to display the BIOS into my external monitor?
